We have been so very lucky this week. A friend of ours gave us a huge bucket of prawns. They are small tiger prawns and he caught them himself. Our son also went Prawning and bought home a big bucket full. Hubby cooked the first lot and so far they have had two beautiful meals of Prawns on fresh home made bread rolls with home made seafood sauce. Yum. The fishing/prawning community is a great one to share, when there is excess to go around.
Hubby also gets in on the action of Prawning at this time of year. We eat what we can fresh and then freeze the rest down for later. Another example of almost free food. As we had these unexpected "extra meals" given to us, we can extend our food supplies over to next week so we won't need to buy as much this coming week.
So, this is what we ate this week,
Wednesday- There was some leftover Mince and Egg from last night
Thursday- Mongolian Lamb, Steamed Basmati Rice, Greek Yoghurt and Chutney.This was made from one of these Curry Blenz I bought when in Airlie Beach while on the Cruise
Friday- Pan fried Snapper and a big tossed salad
Saturday- Chicken with Satay Sauce, Steamed Basmati Rice and Silverbeet
Sunday- Freshly made bread rolls with Prawns and homemade seafood sauce

Tuesday- Garlic Prawns with Spaghetti
|These were the Prawns that our son caught on Sunday and Garlic Prawns is probably one of our most favourite way to serve Prawns.|
