What we bought, spent and ate this week

Hello Dear Reader,

This week has been a little different as we went away for our 29th Wedding Anniversary and we had dinner out on two occasions. We enjoyed the dinner so much on Saturday night at Lumbini Napalese Restaurant that we went back on the Sunday night!

They have a wonderful variety of meals including some really great vegetarian meals, which I had on both nights. I don't eat a lot of meat anyway and these vegetarian meals were very filling, full of goodness and flavour, I was in heaven. This going out for dinner caper doesn't happen that often, so  when we do we really, really enjoy it. This was a real treat with beautiful food and great service. I would recommend this little restaurant to anyone.

What we bought
ALDI, Coles and Woolworths shopping
What we spent
ALDI-$66.95

Woolworths-$50.55

Coles- 38.02

Nothing Bros Prime Meats-$51.00 ($12 worth of chicken went up in smoke, when lovely hubby accidentally burnt dinner to a cinder and we had to buy more to replace it)

Total-$206.52
What we ate
Wednesday-Pesto Chicken Pasta
Thursday-Pizza Night, we had a voucher to use, they are always great value for money and are made fresh with lots of topping

Friday-Tempura Whiting, Steamed Basmati Rice and English Spinach

Saturday and Sunday-We had two wonderful dinners out at Lumbini Nepalese restaurant and enjoyed them thoroughly. I had the dinners on the right

We both shared this little dessert on the first night but it was so wonderful, we ordered one each the following night. It was called a "Lumbini Melt" and was made with Persian floss, whipped cream and berries, oh my goodness, it was amazing.

Monday-this was our actual Wedding Anniversary night, we were back at home and had a lovely dinner of Rib Fillet (Bought from Nothling Brothers Quality Meats), field mushrooms, mashed potato with parsley, steamed broccoli and a garlic and mustard cream sauce. Very extravagant, but cheaper that another dinner out. Even though it was a small piece of meat, I just couldn't finish it, so our Son polished it off

Tuesday-Tempura Whiting, Steamed Basmati Rice and Pak Choy. Lovely Hubby and Son caught this fish when they went to Moreton Island two weeks ago. It truly is the best eating fish in the sea!

So, that was what we ate, this past week, at our place. What have you had for dinners at your place?
