It was a long weekend this past weekend (thanks Queen Elizabeth) and I used the extra time to make this amazing spaghetti sauce. This sauce is so delicious and can be used so many ways, Spaghetti Bolognese of course, my Easy Lasagne, Potato Topped pie, piled on a baked potato with sour cream over the top or just on toast.
For very little time in the kitchen you are rewarded with a thick, flavourful and versatile sauce, that will become a favourite in your home. I used my slow cooker for this but it can easily be made on the cooktop, bubbling away on the lowest setting for about 3 hours, giving it a stir every now and then. This recipe is enough for 2 meals for 4 people.
