What we bought, spent and ate this week

Hello Dear Reader,

I was lucky to have this past Monday off as an ADO, which was just perfect timing, as I was up to my eye balls in Christmas baking all weekend. I did get some more baking and primping for food photography done on Monday, but mainly I was just catching up with all the housework and jobs that got shoved aside for the Christmas Baking. Never mind it's almost all done, Yeh!

Lovely Hubby stepped in and has been doing a bit more cooking, which was a live saver as well. He cooked 4 out of 7 meals this week. We bought a new BBQ back in October and he has been road testing it a bit more of late. Thank heavens he's a patient man, the BBQ we had on Sunday night was cooked to absolute perfection.

So here is what we have been up to in the buying, spending and eating department this past week

What we bought
Shopping from ALDI and Woolworths
Meat from our local butcher, Nothlings Quality Meats

 What we spent

ALDI-$88.15 + a few extras picked up on Saturday-$22.81

Woolworths-$31.50

Nothlings Quality Meats-$88.54

Coles-(not photographed) Once a year Flybuys Shop-$101.34

Simply Good-$58.19

Total-$390.53
This was an expensive week, due to the big spend at Coles for the once a year flybuys/Christmas baking shop and we bought more meat than usual as Lovely Hubby wanted a BBQ for dinner on Sunday and made a Beef stir fry on Friday plus I went to Simply Good to stock up on Christmas Baking goods. Phew!

What we ate

Wednesday-Pan fried Snapper with my big tossed salad
Thursday-Chinese Takeaway-My Mother in laws shout for dinner, tonight we had, Peking Pork and Salt and Pepper Calamari with steamed basmati rice and broccolini
Friday- Beef and Pickled Mustard Green Stir Fry with steamed basmati rice and Broccolini

Saturday-Ginger and Pineapple Chicken with steamed Basmati rice and Pak choy
Sunday-BBQ steak with Mushroom Sauce and my big tossed salad

Monday-Tempura Whiting with steamed basmati rice and Pak Choy with oyster sauce

Tuesday-Jamie Oliver's Sausage Pasta with Pak Choy (I know a bit of a strange combo, but it was the only green veg left and it need using up, still delicious)

What's on your family table this week?
