What we ate this week

Hello Dear Reader,

We got back from our Cruise last Friday morning and did a small shop to keep us going until Wednesday, when Hubby usually does the weekly grocery shopping.

Our first stop during the Cruise was Airlie Beach, beautiful spot, there were some wonderful markets that were set up on the beachfront. For me, markets are all about the food, so of course the first thing we found was a stand that made and sold some wonderful curry and spice blends and have, so far, used two of them.

The first one we used was for fish (fishermans catch ) and the other one was for chicken (Secret Chicken Curry). The packets of spice mixes smell just amazing. I am not sure how many varieties there are but here is the website. I thoroughly recommend them, as there are no fillers or additives, just pure spice and they offer free post within Australia. Sweet!

So with curry and spice in mind this is what we ate this week,

Friday - Fish Curry, steamed Basmati rice, papadums, yoghurt and chutney

Spice Blendz spice packets-there are two sizes, 2 or 6 serves. Although even the 2 serves size was more than enough for 3 to 4 hungry adults

Saturday - We had enough of the fish curry for another meal

Sunday - Wonderful Chicken soup for the soul, recipe coming soon

My Chicken Soup, best enjoyed in Winter, but still delicious in the heat

Monday - Again there was enough left over for another meal

Tuesday- Chicken Curry, steamed Basmati rice, papadums and you guessed it, chutney.

So, over to you, what was on your table this week? Who else ate some crazy hot food during a crazy hot week?
