What we ate this week


Hello Dear Reader,

We have, at last, had some cooler weather here in Brisbane, Queensland, and have used the slow cooker, this week, for our second "Autumn-y meal"( First was the Borsch). It is much cooler in the mornings when I get up and the days are glorious. I am a bit of a cold frog and are already wearing a cardigan to and from work, on the bike.

We still had a salad with fish this week but I think it won't be long until we are having soul warming meals every night.

So this is what we ate this week-

Wednesday-Left Over Borsch


Thursday-Pork Sausages (baked in the oven) Colcannon and Salted Caramel Parsnips(yes, you read right! they were amazing, recipe coming soon)





Friday-Pan Fried Snapper with a big tossed salad

Saturday-We had the pleasure of going to a friends Wedding at Bribie Island

They chose the venue for the view and the food. The food was just lovely, as was the view. I had the Fish and hubby had the Chicken

Monday-Prawn with Ginger and Spring Onion Stir Fry, Steamed Basmati Rice and Snow Peas

Tuesday-Green Thai Fish Curry

  1. I tried a new to me slow cooker recipe last week. Beef with prunes. Super easy and a nice warming meal. Ingredients are gravy beef(cubed and browned in pan), tin tomatoes , packet french onion soup, 10 to 20 prunes. I served it with brown rice and steamed greens. Liz : )
