Sunny Side Up Sunday

Sunday, 28 June 2020
Hello Dear Reader,

Post haircut yesterday

Today I am grateful for my hairdresser, who is, thankfully, still taking the threat of Covid 19 very seriously, she will only allow one customer into the salon at a time and she is still wearing a mask and practicing hand hygiene. I think she is a very wise woman.

What are you grateful for today?

Have a lovely day,

  1. Hello Fiona,

I hope you've had a lovely week at home doing what you love most.

I made your version of the whole orange cake yesterday using two of our beautiful home-grown blood oranges. The tree has a few too many on it (for its size) this year, so some of them are quite small.
I was a bit worried when I finished mixing the cake because the batter was a pretty shade of pink and I wondered what colour the cake would be once baked. It ended up being pale orange in colour and delicious. The rind of our blood oranges has an amazing spicy aroma which gives the baked cake a lovely perfume.

Today I am grateful to you for sharing your recipe and to our garden for producing lovely fruit and vegies.

Enjoy your last week in your current position at work.

    Cheers, Maria xx.
